Hey,

Ok I want to run a aftermarket Piggy back system or whatever works on these things though dont want to go to a workshop every time I need to play with something.

I run a microtech lt12 on my 20b tripple rotor and that's sweet you can upload maps whenever tweak for driving conditions etc etc.

So what computer can I get for the xr6turbo that can have maps uploaded and changed around and tweaked etc?

With a laptop dont want to buy a hand controller.

Ford Flasher 2 is probably the best thing you can get, there are no real piggy-back systems with live tuning short of Unichip, which is crap in comparison anyway.

Flasher 2 allows you to change certain things on the fly and log the data - you can get these from any site advertiser or Ebay

Pretty sure it means you can only use it on 5 seperate cars, you can re-tune as much as you want and it lets you control every part of the PCM. For a full tune you will have to go to a workshop or tuner, but the Flash 2 allows you to fine tune things like Air/Fuel, timing and boost I believe.

No, they don't have live tuning. Unichip can do that I think, but there can be issues and you need a loom adapter. Plus the range of tuning ability is smaller with the Unichip - like most piggy-backs

I guess they have set it up like this to keep tuners in a job. Though theres nothing better than tuning your own car + I want to rune85 so it will need a bit of playing around with timing etc to get it smoking past all the 98 octane farm haters

The XEDE that many of used in the early days has live tuning.

The software was free, and you have access to timing, ignition maps and boost control.

I still have the software installed on my laptop.

You can save the maps to your pc.

Contact Chiptorque for further information.

my personnal preference when I was playing with my ba falcon with a piggy back was a TSI, Live tuning, I made around 350 rwkws with mine with very few mods, can revert back to standard quickly under thirty seconds, (remove tsi computer and plug in adapter).

Still have it sitting here in a box if you are interested in it.
