What parts are involved and roughly a cost to swap my Mal Woods T56 and opt 3 clutch (around 5000km old) to either a 4 speed or 6 speed good to up to around 400rwkw.Not planning anything just yet, but its worth thinking about if its not going to be too painful to do.Thanks guys Edited 14/09/08 07:00 AM by Wingnut

BA/Bf?I'd be interested in your 6 speed set up maybe we could do a part exchange my auto has just been rebuilt don'tthink it will handle 400rwkw for too long though but at least we'd both get everything we need to convert our respective cars as far as cost can't see it being expensive as there is way more auto around than manuals to get parts from finding a second hand turbo auto might be a bit of a hunt but you'd find one eventualy just got to make sure it's the right priceNeil

Im not sure if this is controlled by the ecu or within the gearbox, but either way it can be made to suit.I converted my NA to manual and loved it! But if you are sick of the manual the conversion is possible.Cheers,MaTTe

I'm doing a auto to man conversion. You don't need to swap the pedal box. The clutch pedal bolts to the side of the brake dedal assembly with two male torx head bolts. You could remove the brake pedal and replace it with the wider auto pedal or you could make a template of and auto pedal, cut it for a piece of 3mm plate, drill and tap the pedal and install it with counter sunk screws. I'd rather do that than remove the dash and pedal box/steering wheel mount
