hey, I went to load my flash tuner last nite for my bf typhoon.. everything works sweet. but had a question.. I dont know where I read it. but dont typhoons run somthing like 9psi.. if soo my tuner came with a 8 and a 10 mode..(that's what came up on the tuner) is that right or am I wrong about the initial psi on the typhoon?

You are right it maxes out at 9psi then tapers down to 6psi at higher rpm from my fading memory.

Did you put in a generic tune and how did it go compared to stock?

I got a flash2 for mine and all generic programs seem to make it go backwards.

Typhoon freak drive imediately to Elite Autos hit Paul up for a ride in one of his cars. Then work out how much damage you are willing to do to your bank account. Dont waste your time or risk your pride and joy on generics.

yeh its a generic tune.. it actually went a sh*tload better, it breaks traction all through first. but I have booked it in to the dyno at BPS at cleveland tomorrow to check if the afr's are right. im not getting a fully custom tune just yet because I have an exhaust and injectors to come soon. an other question.. if it is at 8psi stock.. what is the point of the 8psi mode?

I would imagine the point of an 8psi setting is like a street/daily use. Could be practical for things such as fuel consumption

hmm after I ran all these on the dyno.. the typhoon hit 9psi,then taperd down to 6 on the base run but on the 8psi mode, it was a steady 8pound all thru witch resulted in about 10+-rwkw more

Hey has any one had problems with flash tuners later down the track? im thinking of getting a stage 1 kit from bpt in wangara (perth) for $750 they use the sniper flasher. has anybody heard anything to look out for or dodge about them or any problems that have revealed over time?
