Factory Hardlid Issues

$1000,,, I dont want the lid as well. I rang Ford few weeks ago about the hing and they wanted $175, although he couldnt say if it was the older design or the new large one. Might ring up and ask them with that part number, thanks.

There is no new large one. The old one is the large one. The new one is the small one.

that's right, the larger, stronger full-length hinge is the older superseded model installed on MK1 BF's with the Power-bulge hard cover. But its much better than the replacement found on the MK11 BF's, which is just useless.

Hi Guys - just an update on my issue with my hardlid hinge... I am glad to say that it has now been replaced and case closed A very very big thankyou to those who helped me with dealing with my Ford service department. Forums like this are great and I hope to be able to contribute more and help others.

Sorry for the revive, but does anyone have better pictures of the hinge/brace? I am going to get one custom fabricated, just need better pictures. Once I get it done I can post back with results and prices for anyone else who wants one.
