That is a breach of trade practices and as much as they want to call it "good will" work it is still a defect of manufacturing which is should be covered under warranty.now slipping in a edit for the weekday and reflashing to get work done is a case of you play you pay when the motor goes boom. but neither of these two cases have anything to with modifications and the remefications of playing... you ford dealin stooge!
needfordspeed Member 166 Member For: 23y 9m 3d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 21/07/08 03:15 PM Posted 21/07/08 03:15 PM I used to work there, the thing with after warranty assistance is that Ford do not need to offer customers this service, it's completely good will, if the car is out of warranty they will enter information into a program and note down things such as intervals between services, where it was serviced, previous brand new fords and if it has been a re-occuring problem etc etc If in their eyes your loyal to ford they will in most cases pay out of good-will, loyal meaning that you have previously bought brand new fords and have had them serviced at ford.

our06t Mmmmm......BOOST Member 3,135 Member For: 19y 4m 29d Gender: Male Location: central coast Posted 21/07/08 07:54 PM Posted 21/07/08 07:54 PM I have to agree with senna to some point , I bought my T at 3 years old the ford dealer gave me a three year dealer warrenty ,I then tuned my car to 280 rwkw and killed the 4spd auto I didn't take it back to the dealer and tell em to fix it I fcked it I fixed it I know the exhuast was probably more of a principle thing but any exhaust shop could have straightened the mounting bracket for you it probably would've cost you $30 it's not right but would have saved a lot of hassle Ford can be a pain to deal with and I would rather take my hyundai in for warrenty work they just replace whatever is wrong ,but you start playing with a car then don't get sh*tty if they question your claims

Lets be sensible here, there are a ton of people driving around with 8's & T's in stock form and they have no problem with their diff bush, on the flip side there are a couple of stock cars that have needed replacements too. I haven't done a diff bush and you've seen how I drive...The play and pay rule I openly accept, the never ending run around on an off set muffler I do not. The mere suggestion that there refusal to make the adjustment is due to my chosen servicing needs is an attempt to monopolise the market and discriminate between customers. I do believe that in good faith the muffler will be adjusted and this is the right result and the service department in question, not to be mentioned on here by me, will continue to do any future warranty work for me.By the damn way, what is a diff bush??I.B.

A live axle rear end doesn't have these because its all one bit - no CVs etc

Seriously how hard would it be for ford to fix it. Im with ib its a bit of a joke.As far as the diff bush goes. Ive done one on STOCK power.IB a way that you might be able to adjust it is to unbolt the exhaust from the dump pipe and move it around. DA on site would be more than happy to do this im sure.Prior to doing the clutch in my car the exhaust tip was on a slight angle and I was able to fix it via the dump.So senna. Regardless of mods and if YOU still had the stock exhaust and the tip was on an angle would you expect ford to fix it. I know I would
