The only complaint I have about the calendar is there's no birthday funcion like my nokia had.

On the nokia you entered the day and the year of birth and then every birthday it told you how old the person is. There's no such function on the iphone. Again, it's a small issue that I'm sure will be addressed.

Go to contacts, pick a person, click edit, click add field, select birthday.

It doesn't give you a reminder (as far as I know) but the field is there.

Yeah I know that.

It's not integrated with the calendar and the only way you'd ever know about the birthday is by checking the contact info.

I really like how the sms app shows the conversation. It's so much better than swapping between set and received messages.

Wow...it can almost do the same as my 18 month old Palm Treo synced with Outlook/Exchange :idunno: That's something to be excited about!!!

You can sync it with Outlook and the birthdays will go across also. Still doesn't get them onto the calendar.

I've just added them to the calendar and put the year of birth in the note so I can tell how old the person is.

I looked at the Blackberry Bold but I didn't like the keyboard.

I was also thinking about the SE Xperia X1 but it's still some time off and from all reports is underpowered. Handwriting recognition would of been cool though.

Palm T750 or Palm Pro!!!

that's where I would be guys!

Yes, ok, Palm built by HTC, however very different spec'ed beast... Used to run the channel for the disty of a number of mobile phone/devices and along side Voda/Optus/Telstra and well... and have my own Telstra Store... IMO- forget the iPhone... What a waste!

Push email/Pull email... Better off with pull email....and (generally) dont need any plugin's or add on's to use it!

You're only saying forget the iPhone because you can't get enough of the bastards through your door to sell.

iPhone for President. There is ZERO that is anywhere near as handy for a mac user. I'm not sure where it sits for the other 98% of the computer-using world - nor do I care. :spoton:

Anyone got any info on Aus carriers getting the X1 yet? I'm almost due for a new phone and tossing up between the iphone/X1 etc.

Cheers

Reading the reviews the X1 doesn't sound to flash.

The hardware just isn't fast enough.
