Had a good dose of rain in WA WA land lately and opened the boot to find the plastic bootliner about 3 inches deep in water. We had a Company BF 11 do the same thing. I am in Brissie at the moment and have left it with Titans to get fixed. They didn't seem to think it was common, anyone else had this happen and where was it getting in. The only place I could see where it might is around the strut mount points? :buttonit:

Also check your R Spec wheels if you have one as my front drivers side wheel has begun to oxidise under the clear around the centre cap, too costly to leave and miss warranty.

Hey our06t. Cheers, that's the weird thing it is parked on the flat. I'm thinking it seeps in around the strut mount bolts or through the lower rear screen. Ford are going to lock some guy in the boot with a torch and turn the hose on it so I will post up the diagnosis

Was a faulty boot sealing rubber. They put on a new one and it sat in the rain all last night with no water in the boot this morning. The oxidising rim is now on ford back order so it should get here sometime before 2010. They must have had a faulty batch if it has to be factroy back ordered

Also mate water can leak in through the licence plate screw holes as well. I put some adhesive rubber over the screw holes and then screwed the licence plate on. Fixes it well.

lol!

Yeah seen this on a few! The clear coat eventually starts to lift and looks like ass! Backordered parts is a pain in the ass! Can be annoying with the delay on getting the bits

Cause as it may be known not all aprts are made in a ford plant! Some stuff has to be sourced from outsdie manufacter's so a delay is in place!

And considering it been aproblem I say a manufdactor has had its ass kicked and told to fix the problem with rest of stock or a new manufactor has been sourced!

As for the water leak in the book there no better way of finding it. Might as well simulate the situation so a resolution can be made!
