You cant turn the ABS off and the same should apply to the DSC on these cars. You may never rely on it just like the ABS but you'd rather have it then not. Most of the time the DSC will do its thing without you knowing it and you will merely credit your own driving skills.I.B. I tend to drive with it on, as I'm still learning the car.Sometimes I see mine lighting up, and I don't even know why. Dry, good road. It's usually under circumstances of, err, acceleration, or at a 1-2 gear change, but it can be undetectable from a driver's perspective, ie not the slightest feeling of stepping out, wheelspin or anything. While I'd like to think I could get out of a tricky situation, I guess not getting into one is better.Dammit! I hate it when the car is smarter than me.... Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/47374-dsc-important-or-not/#findComment-703844 Share on other sites

Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 10m 3d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 08/08/08 03:11 AM Share Posted 08/08/08 03:11 AM I think the DSC is a great invention and can assist quit alot if something unforeseen happens. The DSC is so much better in the FG than previous models with regards to it's intervention but I don't think it's development is quite to the stage where it shouldn't be aloud to be turned off.
