1) Is it really worth the time and effort using a hub dyno(removing wheels, bolting up, etc)??

2) Does a car on a hub dyno read the EXACT same power figure every time??

3) Are all hub dyno's globally linked and calibratd so every RKW is the same??

4) Does axle/tilshaft twist under WOT occur making the hub dyno inncurate??

5) I do understand your use of a hub dyno as a tuning tool, but once again, see point 2

I have had less dyno time than most, due to having no engine mods. My opinion is only based off the few times my cars have been dynoed and also the numerous dyno days I have attended.

1. YES, I felt my car would have less chance of damage by being bolted to hub dyno as there is less chance the straps will damage the car. If the straps break, the car can also launch off the dyno.

2. Nothing is always exact. I would expecta hub dyno to be far more consistant than a roller dyno as there are less factors affecting the final result. Wheelspin, wheel size and the way a car is strapped ontot he dyno will affect the final results.

3. Are roller ones ? They are calibrated just like roller ones

4. I doubt it would affect the reading anymore than a roller dyno.

5. I believe that being the results are more consistant, you will get a more accurate result every time.

Rob, I know you are just trying to keep the roller vs hub dyno argument going, but they both have their critics and fans, so it will never be a conclusive result.

If I ever get my car done, I would prefer it to be on a hub dyno.

zap f6 I have used both a roller and hub dyno here in wa and I perfer the hub, yes it takes a little longer to bolt up and get going. but there is no wheel spin and I have found that the hub apply's a better load.

at the end of the day these are a tuning tool
