hey guys,

ive just got around to getting my setup almost complete... its good for around 400rwkw+ if I push it, but I still got the stock engine. im only gonna tune it to 350rwkw to be safe ( it has the valve springs done). Its a 05 BA Mk2 Sedan.

ive got

-full xforce exhaust

-60lb inj

-PW surge tank

-PW Full cooler kit with plenum

-Malwood opt 3 clucth (6speed)

-nizpro valve springs

ium thinking about ordering a fully built engine from atomic or something similar but cant justify to spend all that money.

what do you rekon I could rebuild in my stock engine to let it be a daily 400rwkw driver.

I would look at you bottom end here. The bf f6 is probey the cheepest one to go for. There are people here who have acheive this without a probem with that bottom end.

Your best bet is to have your car tuned to a 15 psi limit for now, which will give you 300+ rwkw anyway, and then enjoy that on a regular basis.

On the side, order a long engine from Atomic or Nizpro or HP-F or whoever you prefer.

Their website's and contact's are below;

Atomic

Nizpro

HP-F

yeh its a debateble subject... I could easily achieve 400rwkw with a stronger bottom end I rekon on the budget im on.. ive spent over $10-12k already just on the bolt on bits plus clutch and getting tuned. I was quoted $8360 from atomic for the full rebuild of my engine to a 660kw monster. or $9850 if I dont use my engine. for the basic bottom end parts its $3750 which could handle 400rwkw all day. all up I dont think there would be much change from 20k if I was to go with it. this is to say that I havnt done brakes or suspension yet :S

I think sometimes it would work out cheaper to buy a F6 and just simply bolt on a few parts to see 400rwkw.

im starting to get the competition bug and im wanting to be the first manual into the 10sec bracket if no1's done it yet :)

I have a atomic short motor which I replaced for a mate cos he didnt like the sound of the forgeys rattling and didnt want to go over 400rwkw. I put a bf phoon short motor in his and its nice and quiet now and seems to be handling the power ok. I will probably put another set of pistons in the atomic short and put it in mine. Was going to try and sell the atomic but will build it for mine.

I think you would be lucky to see a ten in a manual with just 400rwkw you might need a bit more

more like 450 -500rwkw

yeh well ive gone from stock about a month and a half ago when I got the car.. too almost 350rwkw by the end of this month... then once got the motor its gonna be 400rwkw hopefully.. I think ive got the bug.

I know 10 seconds in a manual is hard, but I like challenges.
