salesman are criminals

Without sales people, there'd be a lot less work out there.

Moral of the story: Criminals are good for employment?

Saw a 2002 Mercury Silver XR6 Turbo go for $13,000. Had 180,000 kms. 5 speed manual.

A 2004 Venom Red XR6 Turbo go for $14,500. Had 185,000kms. 5 speed manual.

As well as a 2003 Blood Orange XR6 Turbo Ute go for $15,000. Also a manual. Had 250,000kms.

Gotta be the cheapest T's in town.

Moral of the story is if you want to trade dont go to one dealer visit few dealers and have your prices ready in your head. Make sure you prove to them that you are serious and would do business same day if you make a deal that you would like. that's my 2 cents.

Russ

Your dead right mate. Play them off against each other too, I.e this dealer offered me this can you beat it? If not see ya later. If he does then go back to the first guy do the same thing, once you got them both on the brink and ready to let you walk then make the deal. This works even better the more dealers you go too.

Lucky I'm not a used car salesman huh!

When you think about it though, car dealers are a business and if we gave you top dollar for your car, then sold it for the same price - they would last very long would they?

But your buttering your bread on both sides... When you trade a car your making profit on the car sold AND on the trade in...

If someone came in and didnt trade something, you would be making less. The dealers are around a whole lot longer because people are too lazy to sell it privately... The dealers really hit you for a home run when you try and trade something in... No different to Electronics boutique... trade in 10 PS3 games and we will give you a $100 game for free. then they sell each of your 10 games for $65 each, hit you for a home run..

If I wanted to sell my car, I would park it right outside a dealer which sold similar cars at considerable higher price... Nice big sticker on it and my number...

Imagine if the BF2 owner that started this thread parked this car in the carpark of Peter Warren Warrick Farm and said hey im here to look at buying a new car but im selling my car privately...

The Peter Warren buyers would flock to this car to grab it before its traded and then they pay $5k more for it..

How often do you complain and whinge about how much profit Sony makes, or Westinghouse or LG? Take shoes for example, I can gaurantee you that majority of fitness shoes are sold at 200% profit and there is no way a pair of Adidas 1.1's costs $499.00 to make!

If someone came in and didnt trade something, you would be making less. The dealers are around a whole lot longer because people are too lazy to sell it privately...

And they pay a penalty for it, if they weren't "so lazy" they could get more money for their car...

If we never got a chance to trade it then it would make no difference to us. But if you parked it on the nature strip that we have out the front, the council would make you remove it.

I don't understand this bit
