This only happens when the car is cold, and doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I think I can hear it when I am accelerating between the 1800 and 2200 rpm range (Going forward of course :lol: ) but I may just be paranoid.Thanks

Here's a response I found here (don't remember where though; try searching):“...the techy said I know what that is, jumped under the car with a ring spanner and a can of CRC. Apparently on the rack mount (somewhere) there are two aluminium faces that work together and the bolt through them works loose.”

I'didn't let it bother me as it go's away very quickly.jmoo2: Are you refering to the steering rack in your post? I can't see how that would be the cause as the sound is there even if you don't turn the wheel.Isher

Guest bloodxr6t Guests Posted 18/07/03 11:56 PM Posted 18/07/03 11:56 PM hey im a new member and my first reply I too own an xr6t and experiencing the same noise. kinda liek a vibration my noticed yeh only wen its cold and only on idle in park. if the car is in drive but just on idle with the handbrake on the noise goes away. hehe I mite b experiencing a different sound though.
