Does anybody know if I can get a DVD Player installed for watching from the back. I have a sunroof so not sure if there would be room? Back seat sounds complicated (expensive) and the front would be too far I think (but I'm willing to explore those scenarios). I have a 2003 model if it makes a difference. If someone has had this done, what DVD player did you get (Ford supplied?) and at what cost? Thanks in advance, James

Does the Premium stereo have a (CD) changer port? If so, is it easily accessbile? The reason I ask if that I wish to connect my iPod directly to the stereo, so I can control the tracks, fast foward, etc, using this http://ipod2car.com (or something like it). Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know how to replace the bulb in the fog lamp? The 2nd step in the manual is to “remove the lower air deflector”. What is this? I can just see a hole under the front spoiler (underneath the car) that’s directly in-line with the fog lamp. Am I supposed un-screw something?

I just wondered if anyone has had their car serviced at Westpoint Ford, and if so what they thought? I have what I think is a noisy steering rack (it creaks when I turn the wheel whilst reversing) and City ford haven’t been able to fix the problem in three attempts. I now have 2 other weird noises that I would like fixed, so I’m thinking of going elsewhere.

I’ve purchased a mount for my PDA. The problem is I’ve been unable to stick it to the dash. The mount came with a 3M sticker which didn’t work. I’ve also tried other 3M products such as double sided tape, which didn’t work either. I think I’m having probs because the dash is slightly curved and it’s also a little soft. Has anybody attached (stuck) anything to the dash; to the right of the ICC to be precise? I don’t want to do anything permanent like use superglue or screws. Can anyone think of something I can use? I just noticed my foglight is cracked; I presume from a stone. Is it easy to replace or should I get it done when my car goes in for service on Wednesday? Is a replacement easy to get from an Auto store?

When burning mp3’s onto CD you’ll have to convert them to CD audio (.cda) first. This means you can only fit around 15 songs on a CD. If the Ford audio system (either standard or premium) was able to play mp3’s natively, you would be able to create a data cd (as apposed to audio), which means you could put hundreds of songs on one CD. Use Neroto burn audio cd’s using mp3’s. It will convert the mp3 into cda automatically. Various programs allow you rip mp3’s off audio cd’s. To listen to mp3’s using an mp3 player on the Ford audio system you’ll need the Auxiliary Audio Plug-inInput, which is a wire that connects to the audio system and has a 3.5 mm jack which goes underneath the tissue box shelf as bdennis said. You’ll also need a male-to-mail 3.5 mm headphone jack, to attach the mp3 player to the aux plug-in (via mp3 player headphone jack).

Whilst I was reversing yesterday in the basement of a carpark (hence it was rather gloomy) my reverse sensor beeped continuously indicating there was an object behind me. I could not see anything in any mirror, so I got out and checked. Sure enough there was a brown beer bottle directly in line with my rear wheel. If I had kept going I would have run over it. Reverse Sensors definitely work well!

$180 seems good value to me. As Mondie stated, protection and looks. However... Would adding it void the warranty? Is there a definite answer to whether the lower grilles are suitable for T’s?

Seems to be a common problem, even when the car isn't cold. Can be fixed though. Here's a response I found here (don't remember where though; try searching): “...the techy said I know what that is, jumped under the car with a ring spanner and a can of CRC. Apparently on the rack mount (somewhere) there are two aluminium faces that work together and the bolt through them works loose.”
