well after alot of deliberation ive decided to go with the tein setup.

after reading what 'straughsberry' has written about them ive booked my car in for thursday at the same place he had his installed.

thursday just cant come quick enough.

nah not getting the module, its an extra $800. ill set them up how I like it and probably wont touch them again.

im also getting a camber-castor kit and short rear bump stops installed also.

they also highly recommend a 30mm front sway bar but ill stick with the stock ones, for now anyway.

Some people, my self included think that 30mm is too stiff and will cause the car to understeer. 27mm seems to work well.

Also I have fitted 22mm on the rear giving the car good balance with slight understeer.

You will have to lets us know how the damper tuning goes, sounds fiddly

I agree, I would look at the 27mm adjustable, allows you to go up one rate and down one rate.

I would do just the front first and tweak it both ways to see the effects.

Damn I want some Teins, please report your findings.

If you can afford it, do the sway bars. Gets rid of a lot of roll in corners. And you will no be dissapointed with the Teins. Everytime I drive on them I get all warm and fuzzy. They are firm but still extremely compliant. get them setup right, and they'll be even better. A really nice bit of kit...

Which Teins did you blokes go with ? ...there are two different models.

I went for the firmer performance version and have them cranked almost full firm. They are not too firm for me.

I went with the performance super street package which they recommend for the gt and xr6t.

ive spent the day driving around and what a difference it makes to the car. alot more confident and traction around corners.

im not sure what settings the dampers are at but it is firm without being uncomfortable. ill have to have a play around with them and see what the differences are.

the car has dropped 20mm from standard and I wouldnt want to go any lower with the worry of scraping the front.

ill post some pics when I get around to taking some.

Can I please get help on what the ball park figure of what it will cost to get a front and rear setup for a BA ute?

I'm needing to lower my ute and am trying to talk my self in to getting a tein's setup
