December 18, 200718 yr #1 Hey guys I was just wondering how to make my stock exhaust a little louder without spending thousands. I have thort about removing one of the muflers but not sure if it will help much can someone who has done it let me know the best way and which mufler is better to removeThanksAnthony
December 18, 200718 yr #3 You can also do it with straight pipes but you may end up with a bit of drone.
December 18, 200718 yr #4 it's all lies, there's no drone, only at idle speeds 0-50 (if you put straight pipes like I did)driving like a granny, I can put some noise clips up if you like but you tube will have plenty. the only problem I found is on a standard tune it just sounds like a straight thru on a stock 6 until you give it WOT with a big psssshhhhhh. I like the burble it gives though I guess I'm just used to it already after a week might have to get rid of the other muffler. I did it myself ($50/metre) but it's the lowest part of my car now so it scrapes all the time.
December 18, 200718 yr #5 I'll just add I was looking for the Turbo rumble which I don't think it achieved (now that I'm sober)
December 18, 200718 yr #6 Remove the center muffler and replace with straight pipes. Sounds awesome, but won't get you in trouble with Mr Plod. There is no drone. If you do the rear one, it drones heaps.Only cost me $120 from the exhaust joint.
December 22, 200718 yr #7 check out my exhaust I had the centre muffler removed and replaced with straight pipes! it does NOT drone AT ALL especially because its a big car you dont notice much from inside the cabin! cost me $80 to get it done and sounds great! never looked back! have a look for urself!
