I have these gauges and it mentions you may have to extend the sender cable. Did anybody have to do this, particularly on a manual car? Which route through the firewall did you use on a manual car?

Look on the Passenger side just above the carpet, you will find a Rubber Plug . That is where I put all my things.

So I won't be caught short on cable? I figure they are covering themselves with all the different cars out there.

I will have to have a look for that plug, thank you!!

One more question, for those that have them, do these dim with the rest of the dash? If not, how are they for brightness at night?

Not sure about these guages, but if they are the same as the xforce ones you should have a dedicated dimmer wire. This wire will dim the guage lights when it has 12v running through it (I assume that's how it works) you can hook it up to the wire that runs into your fog light switch, not sure what wire it is but there is one there that will run 12V when your headlights are on (obviously you cant have your fog lights on without your headlights). Hope this helps. You should search for the thread though because there is a few in-depth guage install threads with wire colours and all that jazz :)

The Xforce gauges were designed with the Ba/Bf in mind as they dim not with voltage over the 12v wire, so work fine, not sure if the Autogauges even have a dimming wire, haven't noticed one in the FAQ, so not sure if they can dim, so was wondering from an owner how they are at night.
