Hi all,

Great site and some great reading here peeps, kudos to the people that set up this forum :roflmbo: I'm a newbie to the forum and yet to receive my baby. I ordered my new xr6t on the 26th of September and signed papers on the 29th of September...it's due to arrive on the 17th of October. I was wondering what you reckon my chances of getting the new updated bf mkII styling with the shadow rims and new skirts etc etc that's being posted around on several different sites?...it says on a couple of articles that it will start hitting dealership floors mid-Nov so I'm not too optimistic but still kicking myself for ordering too early :bye: Do ya reckon I could ask the dealer to hold of delivery until the new styling becomes available to all.

Thanks!

Harves

I have been a ford salesman for a number of years.(I am now with Expensive Daewoo through)

what happens is the dealer orders the car with the factory, it goes into a line of cars. the dealer tells the factory which options and colour the car is. so it all depends on when your car was ordered with the factory, and when they new styling hits the production line.

you also have to remember that your car could have already been built and is sitting in Ford stock. or it has already started on the prodution line before the changes took place.

best thing to do is call the dealer and get him to check with his stock control.

the salesman should be able to tell you with a simple phone call to his stock control.

good luck with it and congrats on the purchase.

 the new update is from November production on, if you want the new look, you'll have to wait, this will be easy to change from the dealerships point of view, unless your salesman and his manager are bastards and want it out this month, also if it is due to arrive at the dealership in a week, its already built, give your salesman a call
