Sure, Please send up fuel drums with all these fuels to Darwin and I will be quite happy to take part in your trial.

Excuse my sarcasm as the only 98 in Darwin is BP Ultimate and they charge an arm and a leg for it. $1.56 rip off bastards.

Now can you please send up those fuel drums.

Bugger! We don't pay that for V Power Racing (100 Octane)!!

BP/ Ausfuel have the market cornered on 98, they can charge what ever they like for it, doesn,t help that unleaded is $133

I admire your idea but this just won't give any sort of definative result.

Everyone has a different car, with different tunes (if any), has a different driving style and drives is different conditions.

Not true.

If you dothe test, it will tell us if the fuel makes any difference to your car, with your tune and driving style.

I was in a car club a while ago and we did a similar test, comparing regular unleaded to premium. While the results were different from car to car, we found that in most cars, the improved fuel economy from premium, more than covered the price difference.

In this instance, after a few tests have been done, there should be a fuel that shows more improvement across the board.

I Understand this Adam, I'm hoping if we get enought people to try it a patten will emerge revealing the best fuel no matter what you have done to your car or your driving style. I think 5 full tanks of each may take to long, are you able to change my original post to 3 and see how we go cheers.

Could we maybe add the others, I've not seen the Vortex98 in my area but a lot use the United Boost98 as well.

Here's mine over many many tanks cos I still do it with each batch over at least 4 tanks of fuel per run. All km are average per tank over 4 tanks. 80% city. 20% highway.

Mobil800098. 450km

BP Ultimate98. 440km

VPower98. 420km

Boost98. 360km

Definate response improvement with the Boost98 ethanol blend (after 2 or 3 tanks) but unfortunately at the great price you pay, it's 8% cheaper than the others, the fuel economy is 14% worse than its nearest rival.

Country driving would be a definate advantage and with the new tune I'll be doing the same thing over the next few months. I've got a 3000km road trip end of September which will should give me good figures.
