reason why im making this thread is because K mart have a 10% of oil sale so I was wondering has anyone here ever used Mobile synth S it comes in 10/40 and is semi synth I think its priced at about $32 per 5L or 4L, .

I've always used it at the first change before going full synthetic at 10 thousand km's - it's a fairly decent oil and holds up OK. On par with Magnatec I guess.

Also on the topic of sales Supercrap have 20% off in Brissie today, assume it's the same elsewhere.

Also I did a noob thing the cars been getign what ford put in think it was mobile 1 I was strapped for cash so I took the mobile1 out after 25K KM and put GTX3 and its still in there only done 4K KM so have I done any damage the car runs fine and seems all ok but im worried that going from synth to mineral then back to synth is bad

You're fine. Its only bad if you mix the different oils (ie mineral and synth). Did you change the filter as well? Should always do that with an oil change.

Ya I did change the filter with some ricer $15 one

I got a Z9 laying in the garage (laundy) ready to be used just got buy the oil the hard part spending the cash.

I tought the tubs come in 20L's hmmmm good invetment 35 litres

I would hate to see how much 35 LT of Mobil 1 costs.
