Public road they cant tell you to move your car nor can a cop unless the side of the road is blocked due to road work or similiar.

Any you've based this on??? A Simpsons episode. Instead of coming on here and writing how tough you are, go and try this.

Why does hinder police come to mind.

Public street, park where you want within the signs..

A mate parks in front of them, whenever he can. It is quite funny when they come up and ask him to move. "You move scum bag". He is a huge unit and his arms are bigger than my legs. They walk off. lol

Have scene a couple with signs before them, saying " A Hole Speed camera ahead" - A couple of guys waving down cars on the Westall extension (on the camera).

I was on my bike one day and a mate in front slowed right down beside a speed camera. I thought what are you doing d head?? He reved his bike right next to the open window of the poor bastard. I was behind / had a helmet on and almost fell off because I was that shocked.. I hope this poor Carn t didn't have a heart attack and this is my confession.. lol

Speed camera operators that aint cops have no juristriction to tell you to go anything, dont need a law degree to know this!!

They have no affiliation with the police they are a seperate governing body, driving either, Wagons,or usually 4WD vehicles as to fit the equipment in the back. You can park right in front or right behind, they cannot do anything and the Vic Police have no power to ask you to move either, if you were parking ilegally for whatever reason it would fall under the durastiction of the council you were parked in. In which they could fine you if an infrigment had been made e.g tow zone, or specific timed zone, or meter zone etc. The only thing the police could do is fine you for any defects they might find with your car.

In one of those situations once where someone tellin their "run in with the cops" stories and this guy who is a builder was saying he was on a job site where there was one on the side of the road and went and moved his car right in front and put a sign on his car indicating there was a camera, which then made the speed camera operator relocate. Being sceptical I asked a policeman who confirmed that they have no power to stop you from doing it.

The contract to run mobile cash registers like this in Vic is held by Serco.

The guys that sit in the cars have no more authority to get you to move your car than I do.
