QLD Police get 10 FPV Typhoons

20 Dec, 2006

QLDPoliceFPVTyphoons.jpg

The simple fact that these FPVs are highway patrol cars is enough to suggest that they are utterly useless in reducing the road toll, as most accidents occur on everyday roads and not on the highway. But hey, if you can?t be bothered to fix a problem from the fundamental grass root level, why not just through more money at it? Cause that's all this is! But at least the QLD government has good taste in cars!

Them there be BFs

Why do they need the F6 instead of an XR6T?

It is more about intimidation. People "think" they are the fastest things on the road and will not even risk trying to outrun them.

It is also a high profile thing for FPV and the police as the media like to report about these things

Are these Typhoon Police Cars marked or unmarked? Would love to see a picture of it if all decked out with lights and all. Here in Perth I think we're getting Expensive Daewoo T Astra's :w00t2:

Good to see our tax dollars hard at work for these cowboys. Hypocrites through and through.
