AU's had one piece hub/rotor assemblies so your mech may be getting confused. Get some penetrene and soak the disc and hub joint. Warm them up with an oxy and them give them a nudge with a decent hammer. If the doesn't work take them off the car and use a press to press the disc off the hub.I have broken discs trying to get them off before so its possible they are well and truly siezed and your mech is having dramas. Dans XR6 Turbo Member 204 Member For: 20y 1m 18d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 23/08/07 07:27 AM Posted 23/08/07 07:27 AM I had the PBR premos on the front and standard BA setup on the rear. Have just done the front with RDA Slotted with "the red stuff pads". I am now getting a constant rotational squeek whilst driving which is driving me nuts. The brake bloke says its either the handbrake or the old pads on the rear are rubbing against the rotors he machined. He told me to to take it easy for the first 100 which I did. I went back complaining of the noise. He told me to just go out and give it to the brakes. I did this - no improvement. He is now saying it probably is the handbrake but I never had the problem till the front rotors and pads were replaced and the rear rotors machined. New rotors and pads were initially very squeeky but they seemed to have calm down now. But still getting that constant rotational squeek which seems to be coming from the rear. When you are doing say 90+ you cant hear it. Come under that and its back. Anyone experienced this before? Appreciate any tips. Dollars are low at the moment because of the recent front brake/rotors replacement and the dose of steroids courtesy of my flash tuner so any advice on what I could do myself would be appreciated.
