Boost Sensor On Ic Pipe Under Battery

I've just ordered the Process West stage 2 cooler and air intake and am getting custom 3 inch cold side piping made up (thanks RAP1D)

The Process West kit has come with a boost sensor mount which is fitted to the piping under the battery to the IC.

Does anyone know what the boost sensor does and what will happen if I plumb it all up with-out it?

This sensor is on the cold pressure side of the cooler, inbetween the intercooler and plenum. It must be there.

Does that mean I'll have to plumb in a 3/8 fitting to the cold side after the IC before the TB?

Yes there is a pipe Plazmaman supples which goes between the IC and TB with factory style mounts for the MAP and Boost guages

Can you see the welded tag in the front for the MAP sensor and the provision for the boost sensor on the rear.

You will need to extend the wiring............. 3 wires piece of cake
