Hi All,

Just a quick question about the engine differences between the F6 and XR6T .. are the internals in the F6 built stronger or is it the same.

Cheers !!

Apparently in the BF they are the same. It changed sometime during the BA2, so some will have the better motor.

so only the BA is missing the stronger rods and spring valves ??

this has been a highly debated topic .

im under the impression that post may 06 have the tyohoon bottom end.

there may be some bf 1s that have the weaker rods. :tease:

Pre May 06 XR6T engines ALL have weaker rods, this means ALL BA models, and some BF Series 1.

This is not specific to the phoon, but ALL BF's have independently variable VCT's and ALL BA model car have not (they vary exhaust and inlet side at the same time)

So if I got a BFII can I get a F6 tune in my XR6t?
