Some people don't understand any other way, you can talk/yell/scream as much as you want they don't care, cut the cops some slack you would have to have done something really wrong for them to lash out, it's not worth the repercussions

bashing people does not earn respect it breeds contempt.

So, if you crash your car being stupid, do you show contempt for it and do the same thing again

or

do you learn to respect it and change your approach.

In my experience, those that have something to hide, or fear being caught are the ones that are contemptous. Everyone else generally appreciates and respects the force.

My earlier point completely contradicts your theory. I said that the crims generally treat the cops like crap because they know that the police can't fight back. However, the prison guards are very well respected becsue of what they do.

As XRTPSI said, many criminals are violent themselves and just don't understand anything else.

As far as I am concerned if you dont do anything to draw the attention of the police in the first place you will have no problems. They dont just go and grab random people and put them in lock up. They have done something to get there in the first place.

But, dude, drunken and belligerant behaviour shouldnt equal death. This fella died in custody, now unless there is a great explanation, it would be a bit odd for a scuffle between 2 men end in death where the injury is a massive internal one.

I agree it is sad that he died but the whole reason he was at that place at the time in the scuffle is entirley because he was not doing the right thing in the first place. There may need to be some thing done about how the police treat prisoners but if he hadn't of done anything worng in the first place he would not have been in that situation. that's just my opinion anyway.

Then tell me when he ruptured his liver.

When he was locked up with supposed excessive force? Or when he wrote the car off he had just stolen, while drunk, the night before?

Why is it, whenever there is a death with Police involved, do we have to have this media led campaign of implying the police are guilty and the criminal is a poor, innocent, defenceless victim.

If you weren't there, you don't know. So why blame the cop?

I for one would much rather trust the conduct of a Police office than that of a known miscreant.

Nobody deserves to die like that,

nobody intended to kill him like that.
