I have been thinking a haltech too.Also a wideband monitor data logger is on the card as well. I dont think tuning will be as hard as what Fat Tony says.

With the right tools and common sense it can be adjusted. I have said it before and I will say it again..while dynos are a good tuning tool they would be no comparison to tuning at a track. I have spent the past 2 years learning about tuning from handbooks reading them back to front. The results will be as good as the authors are and as good as my judgements will be on each as I try their advice.

Go for it Useless. You will probably do alot better tune than alot of tuning businesses out there.

There are so many tuning businesses out there with Inertial chassis dynamometers (which are useless for tuning) yet they are charging big $$$$ to do a "claytons tune" but dont actually do much because the dyno simply cant load up the engine.

What makes it worse it that they stick the wideband O2 sensor up the end of the exhaust pipe which again is not the place to put it when tuning a car.

DIY with the help of someone with a decent load bearing dyno if you want to get a decent tune plus a bung somewhere in the front pipe for the wideband

You are right on the money!! Sometimes people dont really know you and they say" no you cant". I am here to say I can and I wont listen to the nay sayers.

The car is an au. I can buy a whole engine for 600 dollars!!lol...
