Weak,sad and another lesson they didn't learn from history.Next logical step for me after a GT would have been a Ford "Grange" type Fairlane-but there isn't one.....................thank god for the Chrysler 300C SRT 8.

They could have done a million things to the Fairlane and LTD but it would still only sell in the hundreds, not the thousands they used to. Only 1000 sold last year, compared with over 10,000 sold in a year back in the 70's. Those days are long gone now, the Fairlane and LTD basically had no competition and dominated the segment back then, times have changed. Hopefully if an export market is found in the next year or 2 they resurrect it.

The new Caprice is even worse; the VE is huge and a need for an even bigger heavier car is beyond belief.Another nail in the coffin for the dinosaur way of thinking the Americans had ingrained into Ford Australia. Nice V8 and nice interior... Just like the one I went to in my year 12 formal. They look with a nice set of gold centred simmons too. Hey didnt they also have some sort of airbag suspension??After Ef and El they lost the plot
