Writen Off Octane Ute

Thanks guys my mate just got home from hospital so thinks are going good. Insurance companies are a pain in the arse but if that's all ive got to complain about then things are good. I have just ordered a 07 tornado fully optioned in ego couldnt do octane again ( bad experience).

Sounds good on all fronts. Bet you can't wait for the new ride!

We are sometimes bagged out for driving big, heavy bulky cars, but when it comes to crashes like this, then big heavy buly cars is what saves your life. Driving a Golf GTI, or event the XR5 T, could not have heald up as well as your car did. The larger front compared to your compatriot has put alot more space between you and serious injury.

Unfortunately with side impact crashes we all in trouble.

Nath; as has been said - this is a reaility check for us all. Disaster is only ever a moments inattention away for us all. Glad you and your mate got through ok - and considering the combined impact speed on the nose of the T, it did come through amazingly well. Concur with Paul, our heart goes out to the other drivers family. Rest and recover, and enjoy the new toy on it's arrival.

Yep it was raining and driving down that road I had a bad feeling I dont know why but I was thinking of a truck coming over a hill thank god it wasnt

We were driving home from the cinemas about a month ago, and my girlfriend was driving, and I had a bad feeling, we had two choices to go on the highway home which involved a right turn, or go straight through the city, in my head I thought im really not comfortable with this right turn and I would rather go through the city. Didnt say anything to the girlfriend and she turned right, there was a car with 3 asian looking fellows in it that ran a red light and skidded just past our car which had just about turned in front of theirs.

freaky stuff.

I drive around all the time now and im paranoid of somebody crossing over from one side of the highway into my lane, few years ago I wouldnt have even thought about it.
