I understand there wont be much of a difference, but to say that aftermarket filters are a waste of money (in the long run they should save you $$$ due to bein rechargable) and time (two minutes to fit) seems like a weird statement to make, even if they dont make your car a rocketship, they have to be worthwhile?? :laughing:

That's the thing though. We only ever see tests re: power increases (or lack thereof). People seem to forget that the whole point of a filter is to filter the air. Do we ever see tests showing performance of these aftermarket filters against the stock unit for filtration? Rarely, and even then its usually only 'editorial style' comment with no figures.

lol, I wish. I actually took my K&N flatpanel out, and replaced it with the OEM type (Repco actually).

I love the idea of reusable filters, but find it hard to believe they filter as well as the OEM type. Especially with the fine dust we get in this country.
