March 10, 200719 yr #1 Last week an owner of a modded XR6T Ute brought his jack in for us to see!Hole Hell this thing looked like a piece of twised tin foil. That day he had used the jack to change his rear tyres twice and on the second occasion had just located the last rear tyre on the studs and whammo, down comes the ute.A very chilling reminder to what is written in every handbook and on factory scissor jacks - do NOT get under the car if it is resting solely on that apparatus!Dingah Edited March 10, 200719 yr by dingah2

March 11, 200719 yr #6 Mine failed under standed weight and yes I had it in the right spot. There just crap.
March 11, 200719 yr #7 Thanks for the reminder guys. I'll make sure I never get under a car supported by a jack. You know sometimes you say to yourself 'Ah, I'll be alright!'. Never again.
March 11, 200719 yr #8 I have used mine in my XR6 Turbo and also GT and both times never had a problem. Might have to be extra careful if I need to use it again
