Ok here goes.

In my opinion I think Ford Australia are going to cut back on support to V8 supercars for same reasons Pirtek and Betta electrical have pulled out on sponsorship.

Ambrose gets shafted big time at Bathurst with the balacrava penality to try stop him from winning, if that was not a good enough reason murph takes him out as he still would have won even after the bogus penality and it all gets brushed aside as a racing incidence.

Ambrose loses championship because of there rule making and gmh's cheating ways.

Pirtek leaves.

Lowndes gets taken out by *beep* kelly (talks like a girl, even has a girls last name)

Championship is now held by a little maggot who couldn't even win a round in the 2006 championship even with all the help of the two teams working together illegally and owned by the one owner.

Betta leaves.

Ford have said they are going to cut back on support due to poor performance of teams (I think real reason is the fact of the unfair playing field being dished out To Ford Teams is more the reason).

Avesco, Cams, Tega whoever takes the bribes please stop taking bribes from gmh as what could be a great sport will eventually go down the toilet (place where you can get your brand new dunnydore :w00t2: ).

I think us Ford fans should start up a protest or all chip in some money to help out bribe gmh at there own game (I think if everyone could help out by giving one million dollars we may get a few bogus penalities go our way :w00t2: )

What if we sponsored a team just to go out and take out the lead dunnydore so we could win Bathurst and the v8 Championship :tease: .

How about letting the dunnydores have only 9.6% the down force the falcon has, like how they made the AU disadvantaged 16kg frontal down force to dunnydores 60kg.

I don't know if Iam going to continue watching this one side championship which is such a shame as I have heard of other people thinking like wise and which will hurt support for the Ford teams out there as less fans on the blue side means less support to blue side.

Its going to happen again like back with the EB ED Falcons kicking but and CAMS does everything possible to slow the Falcons down, smaller brakes, takes Ford aero away and lets dunnydore use, lets HRT use illegal parts etc etc.

Prior to V8 supercars gmh where :spoton: about how fast Ford and nissan where That they made up a new catorgory they could have a chance at winning.

They are still  about letting Ford use Modular engines and other brands joining the sport.

This time around its let gmh have combined race data by running two teams.

When is this crap going to end and we get a fair playing field or is this not possible as Ford make a far surperior product and if all is fair gmh would never win which will loose spectators as it will be dominated by Ford.

Is this the reasons why Ford keeps getting shafted?

What is everyone else's feelings on this?

I just about disagree with all of this...

Betta left long before the Rick Kelly incident. They went into receivership, had no money. 888 went and found a new sponsor.

If you watched the racing on the weekend, you would have seen that the Fords were the fastest cars out there, but other things led to them not winning. I think the racing has been pretty even the last few years. Remember the BA's won 3 championships in a row. I think this years championship could be as close as ever.

Seriously put a stipped out skyline or even an XR6T against a V8 supercar, and they are going to look really stupid agian just like they did 20 years ago....

The most serious things in life do not revolve around V8 racing, unless you have something you are trying to sell..............

Turbo charged cars (with exception of jaguar) have been making our V8's look like big ass cadilacs for years....

How are we ever going to get to drive the machines the europeans or japanese drive while we sit around with our beer and sheila's watching dumbass V8 racing...

If ford had some pride they would pull the V8 out and start another series..

100 laps... first prize to the winner.. Simple.. They have already got it won

V8 racing was establised to make a profitable empolyment for locals, unfortunately that work is still being transferred overseas and we still think there is an aussie job involved.... To Mature as a formidible car manufacturer.. We need to have a good think about the product we are selling, sure they sell the odd comodore overseas, but we actually import more cars than we build locally... Time we upped the ante as the comunity and asked for something a bit more than 2 tonne with ordinary brakes, that will at least spend 3 months of its 150,000 km life in a factory service centre........... So we sit back or speak.. Kill the V8 series and bring on a series that includes 80% australian fabricated, manufatured, assembled racing, and Expensive Daewoo would not even have a car in the race.............

My F uc kin 50 c worth

I thgink it's time to pull your head out of the sand.

I agree with why Betta pulled out, and Pritek just put their money elswhere.

If you analyse Ford's last three Championships, it still comes down to the HSV teams illegally joining forces. It just happens that for those three years, the HSV team cars were unreliable and didn't finish enough races. Take them out of last year's points and Ford is top three. Take them out of las weekend's Adelaide and all four HSV cars were the only Holdens in the top 12.

Delve deeper and see that every major rule change in the sport has been doen to favour Holden:

Moving to V8s because Expensive Daewoo didn't have a competitive turbo car.

Ford dominated early V8 racing so their aero packages were reduced, while the Holdens (which already ran Chevy motors and Ford diffs) were given the Ford aero package. This wasn't rectified until BA when Ford threatened not to continue with the one sided sport.

Now, because of this rediculous project blueprint, it comes down to applying rules in an obviously baised way.

Murphy gets handed a Bathurst win (twice) when the pace car comes out and not only elevates him to the lead, but gives him a half lap advantage in the closing laps of the race. Ambrose and Ingal with the balaclava debarcle, and countless pit and driver penalties handed out to all bu the HSV teams (the most prominent being Kelly and Lownds last year).

I agree with the sentiments of others here. Ford would be better off pulling out all together and putting their efforts into promoting a fairer, production based class. Don't forget, V8s are only as big as they are because that where the money has been spent. Then again, as with Expensive Daewoo and their 8 litre Monaros that destroyed production car racing, they will no doubt be allowed to cheat again.

Maybe we just have to accept that Expensive Daewoo are cheats.
