haaa gramps comment is classic. Hopefully the weather holds up on Wed cos I bet your mad keen to test the apple on the track.

To be honest, I'm getting it ready for the track day at Colli on the 18th.. I need some cool charge temps, as it's an all day event....

Drags would be good, if it has the mumbo, but I won't bother till it makes 340rwkw, and I can knock off a couple of 1/10ths.. ( hoping )

I think the barge has a best of 11.6 @ 118mph in it. I'll go down till I get that, then retire it from drag racing..

You can fit a 3" pipe by entering it the same way as the N/A intake.  I've been running one for some time now.  :nyyaah:

That's archaic Macka.... Wait till you see what we ( gramps- I pinched it ) have got planned.. :nono:

Look forward to seeing what you have planned :pooh: I hope it provides the results you seek.

Are you going to use a larger throttle body?

I don't see the benefit of using larger than 3" unless you are.

Look forward to being proven wrong :spoton:

OK.

I'll try and post up some pix of the (semi) finished pipework tomorrow, painted black.

To quote F6_Tornado

" Ohhh farkk. That looks faaarking terrible.. Ohhh for faaaark sakes, that's faaarkin horrid. That's no good at all, nup, that's F*&*KED "

Meh, he's a \|/ and it's MY temporary pipework, not his.. ( I'm not too keen on it either  :roflmbo:  )

( did I mention he's feverishly running around finding an intercooler, coz now he's scared I'm quicker than him) LMAO old boy..

Well me being a Professional Engineer and all!! It makes me shudder when I look at the R&D piping under that bonnet. :spoton:

Just get your Hairy @ss around here so I can fix it and take some pics. :bum:

It still won’t be perfect without the Western Taipan Accumulator Air Box in place but good enough for a dodgy dude like you

Like I need to do much to beet your dream of 11.6? :roflmbo:

OK, just got back from the dyno.

Wog tune was a no-go, as the injector scalers need tweaking up, and I'll do that next time..

Simon put a tune in for me..

Results of the cooler install..

Here are the charge temps with the Nizpro cooler. Pretty massive improvement considering 34deg intake temps.. (61 deg F for the sake of the graph )

Consider also intake temps only rise 11 degrees on the dyno run, compared to the stocker it's quite amazing..

Another way of looking at it.

After a full dyno pull, to max power, the charge temps are still colder than the F6 unit at IDLE with the factory piping.. :spit:

NizproCooler.jpg

Compared to the STOCK F6 cooler

ChargeTemps.jpg

Resulting in

351.5RWKW.

To clarify, the

Mods are

Injectors

Nizpro Cooler- F6 UTE piping as per pix.

8psi Actuator

4" dump

4" punched CAT

Centre Section removal

Edit, Xede controlling boost

Dyno-NizproCooler.jpg

Fuel is 12.0 and we could have wound her up to 370rwkw fairly easily.. I have a small boost leak which I will get welded up, and that might help a touch aswell.

All in all, very nice on the road and effortless with this power..

EDIT:

Effectively, the cooler install and pipework has gained roughly 50rwkw.... taking into consideration intake temps.

I'll go to the drags wednesday, all things going well (clutch ) and see what happens.

Nice and awesome results. Goes to show the massive benefits in fitting a decent intercooler system.

How's it feel on the road?

Tnx gents.

The damn camera still has no bats, I'll try and raid the remotes to grab a pik..

Boost, well it's running a bit less than it was for 313rwkw, on the 11.8 run. Don't worry, there's still a bit dialed in..

I'm keeping that bit of 'research' under my hat until I have done my plenum to gauge any positive/negative benefit..
