sorry fellas, its still the stock bov.

just all of a sudden sounds f*ckin loud. not just that but even when she comes on boost the whistle noise is f*cking loud as well.

Must admit I have a giggle everytime I do it, and some 15yo kids looked impressed when I gave it a bit  :tease:

but too ricey for me.......

Stock BOV?

Aren't they a bit hit and miss? Some of them can hold upped boost but others can't and will leak like crazy?

Maybe the edit has just pushed you're bov over the edge?

Lumpy :kissmy:

it will only leak the boost back to the air box not vent it to the atmophere so no difference in noise.

Yeah I'd be looking at the POS plastic pipe that goes from the crossover to the turbo inlet.

Mine actually deformed from heat and became an absolute bitch to get it to seal properly. And when it came out it made a similar noise to what you describe...

I have never heard of a Bosch BOV failing anything less than 22psi... :msm:

Did it sound louder after a particular event (like a retune) or just randomly got louder? Sounds like it might be something else that is venting the air if the BOV is connected properly.

You could be onto something there, if the intake isnt correctly connected to the turbo you will get increase induction noise and the BOV will be louder cos it dumps into this pipe also... :spoton:

Seeing as the computer senses load using the tps and a map (manifold absolute pressure)sensor I highly doubt an air leak pre manifold will cause the engine to run lean.....

Yeah it wont run lean, just means there could be dirty air getting into the engine.

Nope no retunes. Just started doing it one morning out of the blue.

I just had a decent look and they all seem secure. All have decent hose clamps as well.

The only one that looks like sh*t is this one where my boost gauge is connected to the pipework from the bov. Could it be this? Should I hose clamp it somehow?

yes could be it.

you wouoldnt get enough psi through the vac line for it to be from the gauge line.

just check ALL your hoses. pull everything off and give it all a good clean with surface prep like wax and grease remover. then put all hoses on nice and tight.

sounds like like a minor boost leak.
