I have done a bit of research and I was just wondering if I could confirm a few things.I've been shopping around and the best prices I could find was American Auto's.com.au They had a volt guage 6192, for $91.36 link http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?gid=3431&sid=4They also had a boost/vacuum guage 6107, $119.96 linkhttp://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugedetail.aspx?gid=3443&sid=4this comes to a total of $211.32 gst inc.(plus postage)With the boost vac gauge, does it matter if it is vacuum also or is this not suited to my car. This is where I am unsure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also these guages are to be mouted in an excite twin holder.Regards Joshua Deaves Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/29037-cobalt-gauges-which-ones/ Share on other sites

Qld Posted 04/10/06 07:56 AM Share Posted 04/10/06 07:56 AM Hey mate on your questions, I have looked at www.egauges.com (dont know how to do links ) anywho yeh they are pretty cheap on there but they are in us so u would have to do some calculations to see if they actually work out any cheaper. And the gauge sizes u would be chasing would be 2 1/16 inch. And on the boost/vac gauge, yeh the vac is suited to your car, unless ofcourse its a diesel and has no vac Anyone please correct me if I am wrong on any of the statements I have just made, as I dont want to be giving out false/wrong information to people. benjam Member 138 Member For: 20y 3m 14d Location: Sydney NSW Posted 07/10/06 11:16 AM Share Posted 07/10/06 11:16 AM I got the mechanical boost gauge 6107 along with electrical oil pressure guage 6127 from www.egauges.com and all up only cost $242 including freight from the US. Relatively easy to install for both boost and oil pressure, didn't need to empty oil or even jack up the car. Oil pressure is more handy I reckon especially with edit and when comparing different oils. I would have loved the full sweep 6153 version but cost is way more. Here's a good thread on the oil pressure guage when installing the sender.THREADWith the boost/vac guage, at idle it will sit at 20 on the vac side. Gotta love the cobolts at night! Another tip they seem very bright compared to factory dash lights, so you can also wire in a variable 1k pot resistor (from Jaycar or Dick Smith )and adjust more to your liking. That is a picture of the Autometer Cobalt series guages that I have in my car. These seem to be a pretty popular choice, but it's up to you what you want for your car. As for price, try www.tuffcarparts.com.au, as he seems to be the cheapest Autometer product supplier in Australia. If he's not, let him know and he'll flex for you. I need something to join 2 lengths of nylon tubing as the one length isnt long enough >< Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/29037-cobalt-gauges-which-ones/#findComment-450880 Share on other sites
