Speedo Not Working

Featured Replies

Has anyone experienced the following:

Intermittently, the speedo just does not work. The needle sits on zero until the ignition is turned off then on again and it seems to re-set the speedo function.

This is on a 2004 XR6T auto.

Very disconcerting when negotiating Perth's freeway works with varying speed limit signs every couple of K's.

The speedo is driven by the rear abs sensors..you probably have a fault with one of them..

Have a look at my previous post under "funny 'lectrics." May be an answer there from built2redline. Good luck with it!

Semm like an old problem that keeps sticking its head up. I had the same issue with my AU S pack. The needle would also start jumping around. Ford replaced the whole instrument cluster.
