Stone chip was the culprit and fair enough these things are bound to happen. Got a price from Ford back then of $120, and though that was fair enough, only to find that todays price is $181.12.A few people ive heard of have had there fog lights replaced under warranty, saying that they are designed to be stone chip resistent and if they break then they must be faulty. But to hear I was up for this new BS $181 crap is beyond me.And I also hear there simply made by Hella and I can get them for about $50 bucks from them, so what is Ford spares trying to pull!Just me gripe me for the month. jordak Member 1,226 Member For: 21y 13d Posted 26/09/06 04:40 AM Share Posted 26/09/06 04:40 AM Both of my foglamps got cracked within 6 months of having the car. Couldn't be a*sed paying over $300 for replacements so I spent $30 on foglamp protectors instead which pretty much hide the cracks anyway. Guest newl Guests Posted 26/09/06 04:51 AM Share Posted 26/09/06 04:51 AM Quite common thing to happen unfortunately. I cracked the drivers side light on my T (flogged it to the dealer on trade in that way) and did the passengers side light on the F6 a couple months back.Maybe I'll get motivated to shell out for a replacement one of these days. The 3M covering is the way I'll be going when I do so. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/28802-cracked-a-foggy/#findComment-440913 Share on other sites
