Well I finally got my XR6T on Tuesday afternoon.

Have delayed posting until I could take some photos to post - but ths weather is still bad so photos will have to wait a couple of days.

The car:

Blood Orange XR6 Turbo

SSS Automatic

Leather interiour

Premium Audio

Auxilliary Audio

5x 18" Alloys

Side Airbags

XR Scuffs

XR Floor mats (Red logo)

Pollen filter

Non genuine Hayman Reece Tow kit

Boot Floor Liner

Boot Lid Liner (from Fairmont)

Cargo swing net

Phone presenter (new sturdier one)

Defender pack - Metallic Tint all round, Paint pretection Glaze, carpet and leather protection, Sound deadening, Rust proofing

Modifications already made:

Installed wedge lamps for floor well lighting

All electric window switches fitted with Blue SMD LEDs - looks great

Modification to make this weekend

Install Car phone kit

Install auto up and auto down on all windows (I hate only having the auto down on drivers window)

Upgrade front and rear speakers to better quality (perhaps an amp for them)

The problems so far:

Cut in plastic of steering wheel

Rattle when stationery at idle when cold - sounds like loose heat shield

Rubber window seal looks incorrectly fitted on right hand side of rear window

Imperfections in rear window tinting - small particles (look like tiny pieces of metal) trapped under film causing small bubble

Fuse panel cover does not seem to attach properly and fell off when collecting car

Cam,

Sounds awesome. I've only seen one orange XR6 and that was at a local dealership. It is a bloody good colour.

You said you had a new phone presenter. I just have the one that comes with the car and I find it is too far back for my liking when I drive.

Where is yours located and do you mind posting some photos of it?

I'm not really happy with mine and would be interested to see what other people have done with theirs.

Hey Cam,

Good deal. :clapyohands:

Re the problems, I had a rattle also and it was just a heat shield on the exhaust under the drivers floor.

I agree with the rubber seal around the right rear door loking a bit crook, but I haven't worked out how to make it look better other than taking the Stanley to it, and I'm not that keen on that idea.

It'll be good to see some pics when your weather improves. (We don't have that problem in W.A.) :LOL2:

The 'new' phone presenter is almost exactly the same as the 'old' one, its just sturdier. Apparently the 'old' ones were breaking a lot in the field so Ford went back to the supplier to make new ones that are stronger.

They look almost identical and goes in the same spot. (If you want I can still post a photo though)

No - I have desinged and built a number of devices (about 85mm x 65mm) that you wire into the window controller to make them automatic.

Installing them is as simple as cutting and joining 2 wires!

I can post pictures if you are interested.
