When you stop at the lights and sit for a few seconds still in drive the revs drops for a few seconds and them comes good again. If you were to take off when the revs drops the car is all sluggish. Thanks your advice would be helpful. I know that this is happening in another car and it is manual, with an edit as well with all the latest up date.

09/09/06 12:35 PM09/09/06 12:35 PM #9 I had an intermittant problem like that a fair while ago. Ford said it was either a dirty throttlebody or something to do with the cam phasers? Anyway they fixed it and it was fine.If the problem was in the edit would it not be consistantly there all of the time when at idle?
09/09/06 02:03 PM09/09/06 02:03 PM #10 Well mine is teh 04 xr6t manual that does it too. Ay one stage it was reving by itself aswell as this rev dropping problem aswell. I cleaned the throttle body as it was full of thick gunk and it fixed the problem for 2 weeks then it started again. I took it to ford and they replaced the TPS. It got rid of the revving by itself and stalling problem but it still occasionally does the rev dropping to bout 250rpm. I have tried both the standard and the 8psi tunes and it does it with both. Hopefully when I get a custom tune shortly it will fix the problem.Nesh
