Also at Amaroo Park and at Bathurst. He really was a naturally quick but sympathetic driver who, when it was needed, could absolutley wring the neck of anything he was driving.I recall reading an article of when he drove the old Appendix A Torana at the Goodwood festival of speed and brought a standing ovation from the massive crowd.My son and I attended his book launch at a time when we had plans to eventually do the Tassie Targa, he autographed the book for us and wrote "Go the McCarthy boys.Very sad week indeed.
