It is still very good but I kind of feel ripped. Is there any additive that u can add to the fuel to run 98, or do I try and order it by the 44. One more question, when I turn the key to start the car there is a noise coming from the fuse box under the bonnet?any help would be good Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27473-new-tune/ Share on other sites

For the money you would be spending to increase RON, would be better saved to get more mods that will allow more power on 95. At least then you know that you can drive anywhere safely.Scotty Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27473-new-tune/#findComment-417398 Share on other sites

Either weay it was not serious so relax on that one. Someone will in time tell you more. Enjoy your new found power, hope you enjoy your drive back.Scotty Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27473-new-tune/#findComment-417401 Share on other sites

Tha last updates on the Edit have fixed this problem, I would check with your tuner as I don't get the noise anymore. Its never been a concern though, should be all good. As for the 98ron fuel, it would work out cheaper to buy some bigger injectors, a hi flow cat, and then a re-tune rather then add octane booster to every tank of fuel!! With those mods and 95ron fuel, you should see a comfy 260-270rwkw. Then again, there's no guarantees with these cars. No longer the smartest way to do things.A standard surrent custom tune will not have this issue.Octane boost will fix the pinging issue. What was your standard power figure?
