Hi guys just drove to Brisvegas on the weekend to power torgue engines and got me a capa flash tuner and custom tune. it ran a 250rwkw on 10 psi tune but the engine was pinging cause where I live there is only premium 95, so they had to take it to 235rwkw. It is still very good but I kind of feel ripped. Is there any additive that u can add to the fuel to run 98, or do I try and order it by the 44. :laughing:

One more question, when I turn the key to start the car there is a noise coming from the fuse box under the bonnet?

any help would be good

:fool::gooff:

Mate if you cant get 98 you cant get 98. For the money you would be spending to increase RON, would be better saved to get more mods that will allow more power on 95. At least then you know that you can drive anywhere safely.

As for the noise it has been covered before, was a solenoid or fuel pump. Either weay it was not serious so relax on that one. Someone will in time tell you more. Enjoy your new found power, hope you enjoy your drive back.

I still occasionally get the ticking noise before starting the car. Its never been a concern though, should be all good.

As for the 98ron fuel, it would work out cheaper to buy some bigger injectors, a hi flow cat, and then a re-tune :laughing: rather then add octane booster to every tank of fuel!! With those mods and 95ron fuel, you should see a comfy 260-270rwkw. Then again, there's no guarantees with these cars.

The later custom tunes do not have the solenoid click issue, which is ususally related to a "dumbed down" boost control where the wastegate is set to a single position. No longer the smartest way to do things.

A standard surrent custom tune will not have this issue.

Octane boost will fix the pinging issue.

What was your standard power figure?

195rwkw was the standard figure
