Andra also say a billet ballancer is required for any car faster than 12 sec.←I've never heard of that.. damn.. I'll look into it. Cheers.←I have just fitted the Atomic balancer and pulley kit on my new engine.ANDRA approved, and nice looking as well - Will it make any difference to the oil pump I guess time will tell Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/26592-f6-ute-broken/page/6/#findComment-403027 Share on other sites

Then leave the rest ( removal & timing gear ) for my mate to do..Hoping she's back to her old self tonight.. hopefully.. Lucky Mrs F6 Ute was not driving it or it would be sitting back in your garage at home with a note stuck to it "by the way honey, a red light came on in the dash and it started making a funny noise.... but I got it home anyway"←The mssrs actually drove her last car, overheating till the head warped and cracked. You'd swear it was a locomotive the amount of steam it was punching out..←Don't laugh at your missus too much, I remember back in the EL days a bloke had his EF towed in...The back of his Reef Green falcon was black from oil & engine sensors had simply fallen off, cooling in molten drips..... the whole engine had seized & needed a new long motor..... about $7000 from spares back then.... not cheap to bring it back to standard..... The timing chain guide was flapping in the breeze, as it's support was smashed to bits. If the chain had of come loose, or skipped a few teeth ............................ bits of valve into pistons.. would have been rather exxy.. I just got the sump dropped, but the crossmember looks a bit hard, ( ie, my 3/8 drive socket is no match for the big asss bolts.. ) so I've knocked the top off a beer, put a few band-aids on the wounds and now I wait...
