If you do go ahead with it are you going to try and get the electronics in this seat as well so you can move it using the control on the side of your seat?

ms700, pics??

I couldn't car less for electrics - I may even hard mount them in my position as I am the only one who drives it. I don't really want them on a base as it sits the seat too high - as previously mentioned, I am 6'5 so can do with nearly sitting on the floor!

Pic time! Fresh from the printers.......

They have pump up lumbar control, and the side bits (the bits that hug your sides) are adjustable in and out via a knob on the side. They electrically adjust up and down at the front, and the front of the base can also be adjusted (pull out further to give more under thigh support).

They do sit very low, much lower than the buckets used to in the XC. And have done bugger all work! The pics dont do them justice, they look all furry in the piccies, but they most definately are not.

I imagine the authorities would take a dim view of removing seats with airbags in them and not replacing them with same.  :stirthepot:

Ummm, they didnt have airbags in the late 70's......

Oh. I see.

Good point Mr Social, and your airbag warning light will constantly illuminate as well im guessing.

It is not a legal requirement to have airbags, it just helps sell cars.

Yes, but if an individual car came out of the factory with side airbags (whether it be standard fitment across the range, or you ticked the option) then you have an issue. The side airbags must be retained.
