Bang for buck, me thinks not more like when theres nothing left to do kind of mod.

When I went it there wasn't many mods out there. Not saying its crap it works just 1/2 the power gain stated by the seller. It looks awsome if that helps.

Totally agree, it will be one of the last things I add-on. I believe you can use an XR8 TB, if you can find one from the wreckers it could be a cheaper option.

AFAIK BPT do make a larger TB for the Barra I6, it is not listed on the site, cost is about $290.

IMHO you need to be getting more air to the TB to justify putting a larger TB on, probably better off investing in a better CAI first.

A BA V8 one is 70mm. also there is a 75mm XR8 one (AFAIK). The v8 tb bolt pattern is slightly different though, so youll probably have to modify the manifold to make it fit. Probably not worth the effort.

I'm looking at getting an SS inductions CAI for my XR6 (they must have forgotten the turbo in mine). Does anyone have any experience with these? What is better the 'Big Mouth' at $415 or the 'Growler' at $500? both these prices include filters.

I'm after improved fuel economy and increase in power. Is one better than the other, for that money I want to notice some improvement.

You'll probabally get just as good results by adding the typhoon snorkel and you'll pick it up from ford for about $90.

that's about half way towards an EDIT, which will will give you better fuel economy and a big power increase. Just my thoughts.

hey my xr6t ute I just bought come with ss induction its only has the standard air filter would there be much diff with a k&n panel filter thanks

Yeah it will make a little difference in power but nothing too significant. The main benifit of K&N's is that they're re-usable.
