04/06/06 02:24 AM04/06/06 02:24 AM #1 Spoke to Chris yesterday at Blue Power in campbellfield. He recommended these 580cc injectors I think. He said that they are exactly the same as the 968's in everyway, spray pattern, ohmage, everything. They are $580 fitted and a few more hundred a custom tune. He said that he tunes to what the valve springs can handle. Is this how all tuning is done? Id also like to change the cat before the tuning is done to get me a bit more extra power. What is recommended, a 3 1/2 inch or 4 inch? What power am I expecting with these mods?ThanxNesh
04/06/06 02:32 AM04/06/06 02:32 AM #2 968's are 450cc so those injectors you mentioned are not the same in everyway.
04/06/06 02:43 AM04/06/06 02:43 AM #3 Author I cant remember what he said cc he said but he said they are exactly the same. Ill find out exactly tomorrow and let you know.
04/06/06 02:48 AM04/06/06 02:48 AM #4 You posted that they were 580cc. Chris has certainly done very well with the V8's. I can remember reading about a few XR6T's he had tuned, they all seemed happy enough. If I remember correctly your in Epping so you've also got Dynowog close by in Coburg.
04/06/06 03:16 AM04/06/06 03:16 AM #5 The people over at FF.au seem to reckon Bluepower are OK, but they are a forum sponser so you wouldn't neccessarily hear any bad stuff about them. Personally, if I was in Victoria I woiuld go with one of the "big two" tuners; HPF or Nizpro.

Great tuner that gets it done on the track. Highly recommended.
04/06/06 07:08 AM04/06/06 07:08 AM #7 I had my rip shift and diff done by Norther Diffs (Bluepower) and I was happy with the service. The work was done on time and on cost, and they were very helpful to talk to. As for a tune, I couldn't tell you sorry. If you don't want them, try HPF (Dandenong).

Where abouts in coburg is dynowog? I think I might go to the dyno days at nizpro and HPF on BVW2 and talk with those guys too and see what they recommend. I dont want to spend too much money as I have a 5 speed and I know they cant hadle big power. Ideally I would like at most 270- 280rwkw. I know that is even a lot for the 5 speed but I dont really thrash it that much. Is it possible if somone can take me for a spin in a 280 rwkw 5 speed on the dyno day? That would be great if I can feel what that power is like and see what needed to be done to get that power.ThanxNesh

Its a red xr6t with 20 inch wheels, no spoiler and has the number plates SHYFPV if anyone knows him.Nesh
04/06/06 08:49 AM04/06/06 08:49 AM #10 chris is a good bloke spoke to him at the FF drag day, definately knows what he is doing with the Boss engines, there are a few people who have their XR6T tuned by him running around 240-250rwkw and they seem quite happy maybe ask one of them if they can post a dyno sheet to compare with another tuners ?
