As it is a 155 degree angle of view, pointing it directly down, I can see an object whilst it is still about 1 metre behind the car. I did a lot of experimenting with my daughter holding the camera in various positions at the rear and point down seemed to work best for me.CobraV8.... Your question on reverse image cameras; yes, they are built that way, I don't think there is a readily available converter to reverse a standard camera.Zap_F6... I bough my camera from Jaycar and looked at the one you have shown in your link. It was too long to fit into the plastic trim as it is 60mm long and the main drawback was the fact it is only a 92 degree angle of view.

Available on ebay.←Any idea of what brand they are or seller? I did find a pair on ebay however, they look far inferior to what you have shown there.Edit: Found some more on ebay. They look pretty good, not sure how well they would colour match to the existing interior or fit for that matter. Will investigate further. Edited 23/05/06 10:11 PM by God666

Is this about as cheap as we can do to put a video signal into the ICC?

Is the light angle on LEDs narrow or broad any idea. Jaycar tend to have a good selection of that stuff however, their prices are several $ per LED (bought a few a while ago for a job). May have a scrounge on ebay, see if there are bulk packs available. First, will check if the Camera picks up infrared light. I suspect I will be able to do that with a TV remote pointing at it.
