March 26, 200620 yr #15 Yep and as for those stupid lower vents which look much better they were deleted somewhere during early 05..So any 04 Mark IIs should still have the lower front air vents, anything after March / April 05 wont!
March 26, 200620 yr #17 My BF F6 also has the lower vents, as it also has the Mk1 cup holder.Seems weird how Ford are mix n matching their features
March 26, 200620 yr #18 Seems weird how Ford are mix n matching their features I agree... I reckon this goes to why Ford and GM (and FIAT for that matter) worldwide have problems making any money (well actually making massive losses rather than small ones)... they worry about (and then change) stupid little things that aren't even problems, rather than creating clunk free drivelines (anyone got one of these?... I know I have) both of these things (the cup holder cover and extra vents and any others little things they change) would have to re-tooled with the injection moulder (supplier) to create different parts to differenciate one from the other and to fit MK 1 to MK 2... and then would have to be held in spare parts for the (govt mandated) required period as new parts it's SO STUPID It is no wonder they can't make any money... sorry for the slight thread hi-jack but it is so silly of them...Jack
March 26, 200620 yr #19 My BF F6 also has the lower vents, as it also has the Mk1 cup holder.Seems weird how Ford are mix n matching their features<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Because its an up spec model. Fairmont ghia's and fairlanes are the same.
March 26, 200620 yr #20 Go the Mk2, resale will always be better, luxury int pack if possible, or at least the prem sound (as it has larger colour TFT- Trust me well worth it, esp. when I now look at the standard ones )Im a manual fan but that's just me(4spd inst that crash hot), then go tint, mats, dyno tune, zorst, and cold air. Car will be a mad streeter and still cruise family around, whilst drillin all stock FPVs, HSVs and most other crap on the streets!
