I have a capa flash tuner.currently being used on my mk 1 ba auto ute.I will put my car back to factory tune to sell the car.I believe this will then not be vin locked to my car because the factory tune has been restored.is this correct or does it need to be reset? I am the first and only user of this flash tuner unit. What is it worth?

I belive it still has to be unlocked, Price well that's up to you but I have seen them go for around $600 to $750 with 3 lives left, The general thought is that its worth $250 for every flash still left in it.

I paid $650 for mine. On its second car now. :spoton:

I think that's a fair price, $1000 new not much to do other than reset it only a problem after it has been reset a few times and it has to be sent to the states.

I sold mine to the guy who bought my old car for $800, but it did not need resetting as it was the same car and had a great custom tune included.

Hi Kawerx,

I just missed out on one today sold for $500 in the market place - When you decide please let me know as I'm trying to get hold of one. Has yours got the generic flash's on? My tuner doent like em so wants me to go custom right away but I'd like to run the generics for a bit to try them out.

I'm Dead keen mate - let me know

Dan
