02/03/06 06:39 AM02/03/06 06:39 AM #11 The factory fitted sunroff in mine has always had what I term to be "excessive wind noise". Even with the flap shut. Next service the T is going for a holiday to the sunroof shop for them to do something about it. The 2 different ford dealers I have taken it to have not been able to fix it.I hope they don't just throw some dodgy bog in the gaps to fill it up.Matt
02/03/06 07:10 AM02/03/06 07:10 AM #12 I was gonna get it factory... so I guess this shouldn't mean too much drama.any idea how long they take to put in? I was gonna get a run out xr6t which will apparently take 1-2 weeks for delivery, how much longer if I get them to throw a sunroof on it?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>You won't be able to get it factory fitted though buddy if it's a runout BA, or even a 2005 BF. The little blighters would have been out of the factory for quite some time. And if you're more than 5'1" you won't want one either

I had a chat with the dealer today and he was basically "guarranting" me that height wouldn't be an issue..can you (or anyone else) give me some advice on this then? When I sit in the T, it seems like I have plenty of space above my head, so how come I keep reading about people having height issues with sunroofs?

It's something you can put up with but I wouldn't want it on a daily basis.Essentially the roof lining is lowered a couple of inches, so if you are tall then make sure you try sitting/driving one with it fitted first. Unless of course you like the feeling of your head hitting the roof every time you hit a bump. No doubt someone else will come along and say otherwise, but ignore everyone (myself included) and try it for yourself first, that way you can be 100% sure if it's for you or not.

No point in them putting the sunroof in the car until its been ordered

03/03/06 03:31 AM03/03/06 03:31 AM #19 I personally wouldn't get to worried... A mate of mine who is 6'4" fits in my car no problems... I'm 6'3" and I have no problems with my sunroof...I have to admit I was a little worried that I'd be to tall with a sunroof but the day I got the T it was obvious that it wasn't going to be a problem... I think the only time I will have trouble is if I ever want to go drag racing me in the T with a helmet...Yeah I couldn't find any dealers with a sunroof fitted into a demo model which was a little annoying as I normally like to see exactly what I'm getting before I purchase, either way, best of luck with the upcoming T...

Dealer is trying to blame to design of the windscreen / roof seal for the noise. I'm taking it to a sunroof shop in the next couple of weeks to get looked at.Nerazzuri - I'm 6'4" and have no problems although if I ever used half a jar of gel to spike my hair up then it would be an issue. I'm in Watsons Bay if you want to park your six in my car for a look.Muz Edited 06/03/06 02:38 AM06/03/06 02:38 AM by turbomuz
