01/03/06 04:23 AM01/03/06 04:23 AM #1 I'm considering getting a sunroof, however im a bit worried that this is just another set of seals which can leak in the future. How common are leaking sunroofs nowdays?Any other issues to consider before getting one? (other than headroom)

01/03/06 05:11 AM01/03/06 05:11 AM #3 Factory fitted their great (and no leaks as yet) but as mentioned be very careful of after-market sunroofs, my cousin has had nothing but problems with his aftermarket sunroof...
01/03/06 05:21 AM01/03/06 05:21 AM #4 Author I was gonna get it factory... so I guess this shouldn't mean too much drama.any idea how long they take to put in? I was gonna get a run out xr6t which will apparently take 1-2 weeks for delivery, how much longer if I get them to throw a sunroof on it?
01/03/06 05:33 AM01/03/06 05:33 AM #5 Depends if your waiting for parts or not, if they have all the parts it will probably only take a few days, however if they don't have all the parts you're in for a long wait - for me it added on 3 weeks worth of car sitting at FPV waiting...
01/03/06 09:00 AM01/03/06 09:00 AM #7 Cheers you two. Can't see any reason not to get one now My current car plus my previous 2 Falcons had factory fitted sunroofs. They are actually Hollandia and the same as you would get at Prestige Sunroofs.I think with time you do get a bit more wind noise ( nothing closing the shade wont fix ) but never have I had water leaks.I wouldnt buy a car without one now.Luke
01/03/06 10:54 AM01/03/06 10:54 AM #8 yes I too have a hollandia factory fitted and although mine was in the car I researched for a previous car and they said it would take 2 days to fit as they completely replace the headlining.
