I bought another new pump, and same problem... put it in, turn the car to on... can hear the pump trying and the little noise it makes... stops making the noise, try to start the car... no go... pulled the outline off from the tank, when trying to prime... squirts no fuel, also squirts no fuel when trying to turn the car over... anyone got any ideas ???any help will be much appreciated,Thanks,Mark
15/02/06 11:54 AM15/02/06 11:54 AM #2 was there a small hose from the fuel pump to the outlet pipe? It probably is only small say about an inch or so. If this has come loose it will not flow out the outlet pipe.

I returned the stock into it... and work... then today, with the second walbro that once again did not work... I put my stock one in again... and its running now... it just seems to be the walbro pumps... and im not sure why... ?
15/02/06 01:41 PM15/02/06 01:41 PM #4 Is it possiblem that the pipes are the wrong way round ?I seem to recall another post like this that turned out to be the pipes were wrong.Just a thought
15/02/06 01:55 PM15/02/06 01:55 PM #5 Author pipes are right, because I left the stock one on from the inlet pipe... so its only a different line from the pump to outlet...
15/02/06 02:53 PM15/02/06 02:53 PM #6 dumb question but is the pump wired up with the correct polarity???are the inlet and out on the walbro and stock pump located in the same place???
15/02/06 08:25 PM15/02/06 08:25 PM #7 pipes are right, because I left the stock one on from the inlet pipe... so its only a different line from the pump to outlet...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>just is not a nasty question but how much fuel is in the car?reason for saying this is that when you mount the pump you must ensure that the connecting hose is long enough so you mount your pump at the bottom of the tank...If you have used your original fuel line from your pump up to the exit plate then that's your problem the flexi hose will bend to far and kink and block the fuel flow..so be sure to use fuel line that can be submersed in fuel full time..good luck with this and let us know how you go...jeff

You are correct though Eugene, you will get no output if the polarity is wrong.Although, if the pump was working for awhile then stopped, I don't think this is a polarity problem, I think Jeff is more on the ball.Compare the two pump sizes and I think that will give you your answer in regards to Jeff's post.Rob.
